I Love Falsies mascara from the local drugstore! Yeah! I said it! DRUGSTORE! I've always been a department store makeup shopping NINJA:) However, I've learned over the years that you've got to really research and shop deals because otherwise you'll miss out! Falsies is the best mascara that I have used in quite some time. It makes my lashes look ultra long and pretty it's under 6 bucks and it WORKS like a charm! If you are in in the market for your lash bling and can part with $5-6 then this is a great option for all you divas out there!

Hey guys and girls! Here is my new favorite body polish:) I can't tell you enough how amazing this polish feels! It's so sweet and soft and it smells YUMMY! My skin is always so soft right after using it! You can get this at your local drugstore for less than 5 bucks or even Walmart or "Wally World" as Kealah's mom says:) They have other scents too, like coconut I believe?? Anyway, go out and get some because it is a wonderful shower friend and your skin will love you for it!

I'm really in love with how Ciara is growing style wise. I think she's an amazing dancer and I support her as an artist. I Love how her hair is always on point! I'm swagger jacking this doo this year too...I'm on my Charlie Sheen right now too!...WINNING! It's amazing how much a fresh hairstyle and new look can help you to feel better. I once threw away everything in my closet because none of it represented who I was anymore, I'm close to that move again because fashion is such an extension of myself that I feel like a depressed artist if my style is lacking. Luckily, I've got lots of inspiration and I know this Spring and this Summer will prove to be a great last season of my 20s:)

I've been on a tiny sabbatical from my cyber life. But I'm back! I've made some major lifestyle changes and I feel great. I turned 29 in January and went through a little funk:( I don't know why I felt old but I did. I decided to start from scratch. I went on south beach diet and also stopped eating pork and beef. Seafood and poultry only. So far, I have lots of energy and in a few weeks, I'll post a current photo of me in my updated look. I believe that it takes a while for women to feel comfortable in their own skin. I'm so blessed to have great friends and family in my life. I have no other option but to just be GREAT!:) I'm so inspired my color and fashion and comedy and architecture and laughter. I've got some great ideas for my journey up the beauty industry ladder and I'm one day closer to achieving my goals! I'm a true beauty crazed girlie girl and I love it!

Shhhhh! It's my Face and my Lace!:)

These lovely DIVAs are rocking a lace front wigs..YES. THEY. CAN. If you look closely along the perimeter of the hairline you can see how symmetrical it is which is obviously not the way natural hairlines look.....but who likes natural these days anyway!? Lace front wigs have been around for "ages and ages and ages" (i love me some zoolander!..Yes i have ADD just deal with it:) Anyway, it wasn't until recently that the celebs and their hairdressers started dishing the details on how these ladies and sometimes *men* were getting these beautiful ever changing looks. It's a special hairpiece designed with a sheer lace base that allows the person to customize the wig to their actual head/face shape (it's glues along the hairline) and looks fierce. I love hair and I love beauty. I mostly just enjoy being able to express myself through my hair, fashion and makeup. Like WILLOW Smith sings, "I whip my hair back and forth." Long live the wigs and weaves!

Amber Rose is BEAUTIFUL. She's an Abosolute 20. Her face has a warmth and confidence that you just don't find in many public figures. Generally, she wears sunglasses but I found this cute pix of her in designer specs to show off her beautiful EYES:) This girl has it down...she knows how to be seen. She's a style icon, Kanye West' Muse, designer, Model, Socialite and so much more to come. This beautiful Bold lip That Amber is sporting is excellent for the fashion forward "Verockint" (my little Verocknits that dare to be different) you basically need to buy the bold color...feel it and OWN THE HECK OUT OF THIS LOOK. Here's my girrrrllll. The one and to ONLY Kim K. She's totally my inspiration. She always looks hot and fierce and I think she's a live Barbie! I love this photo because of the nude but glossy lip. She brings it up a notch with the glamour intense lashes towards the corners and towards the bottom. The violet smokey lid really brings out her beautiful root beer eye color. How Hawt is she ladies and gents!? She's got some matte highbeam right above her cheeks to contour the bronzed cheekbones. The black eyeliner and bold but soft eyebrows sets this look off and make her ready for an evening out and about! We love you Kim! KISSES:)

What you know about fabulous flawless and sexy tans? Well, if, you are thinking about those tired...orange crazy 90s attempts at perfection...???? You are about to get the low down on how this beauty guru gets down...

In a word, I'm an ESTHETICIAN...but that really just means that I am a beauty fanatic that is always looking for the next best thing to make me and of course my beautiful clients look AMAZING. I've recently started customized spray tanning to help ladies get that beautiful bronzed look that you often see celebrities prancing around with. I have a great solution that smells tropical and looks and feels natural.

Here are a few tips to make sure you get the job done right.

Shower and exfoliate every inch of your skin before your appointment.
Do not use and oil based scrub and do not moisturize prior to your tan
Make sure you are shaved or waxed prior to your tan
Wear loose fitting clothes to your appointment
Do Not shower for 12 hours after your spray tan
Do Not apply any lotions for 12 hours after your spray tan
Purchase a tan extender such as Jergans tan extender (found at the drugstore)
After 12 hours shower moisturize and begin using your tan extender
Remember swimming, exfoliating and exercise speed up the life a of a spay tan

YUP! You know this!

Here is my favorite girl!! She always gets it right. I feel like I need a change with my hair...now I'm not saying that I am going to get all intense and shave the sides or anything but every girl has their moment where they ponder. I will figure out something. I definitely plan to go extremely black..I mean BLUE BLACK:) The reason why I love Rhianna is because she takes risk and that is very commendable especially when you have people watching your every move.

I get so frustrated with my hair sometimes..*Sigh*. I know it has to do with my mood like most women. I picked the photo above of "RI RI" because it's something I could see myself wearing. I've been washing and conditioning my hair with Mizani hair products www.mizani-usa.com. I used to love them but lately I've been a little disappointed with them. In all fairness, I think it's because I need a new relaxer to tame this wild hair! I work at a salon and we carry Bumble & Bumble www.bumbleandbumble.com. I was looking at the Oprah Winfrey website and came across and interesting story on how the Japanese keep their skin and hair in such a youthful state. The article/web video was great! I and posting the link so you all can see for yourself. This story got me to thinking. I know that we Americans are very into eating. Some of the food that we put into our body is literally toxic. Many of us are much more cautious when it comes to what we put on our faces. That's the sad truth.

We need to pay closer attention to the things we actually ingest. Water should be a staple, fruits in vegetables should be a ritual and low sodium diets will also help us create a fountain of youth effect here it the states.

Exercise is something that also makes a big impact on how our skin reads visually. If we are active then we keep that blood flow going and our complexion looks much more radiant and healthy. It's a great idea to stay away from processed foods because they are hard for the body to break down. If the body can't break it down fast enough, you'll notice that you feel bloated and also tiered.

Multivitamins are essential for the body and skin. They help you stay healthy and also insure that your body is getting all of the nutrients that it needs to look and feel its best. Please take a look at the video and gets some tips from the beautiful Japan.

One question that I hear very often is, "Should I hire a makeup-artist?" My answer is, yes! yes! and more yes! I know that some brides are a little nervous because they don't want to look weighed down with make-up and I don't blame them. However, this is why it is important to find and experienced artist that will take their time during the trial and during your actual event.

As a artist, I feel that it is my duty to report that not all make-up artist are equal. You will have to determine if you have found the right artist. For now, I can offer a feel tips to help you out.

How to find the right make-up artist:

Ask for references

Check out their website

Ask to see their portfolio

Take a look at their personal appearance

Google the business and check reviews

Ask for your trial photos to be sent to you to view

Make sure they are patient

Try to find an artist that does only one event a day

Try to find and artist who is also a licenced esthetician

The artist should be clean avoid cross-contamination of their makeup

Spring into Color!

Okay, I know some of you out there are probably thinking..."It's time for Spring....and I have no idea what to wear or how to spruce up my look." Well, this short but sweet article is going to offer a few quick and easy tips to Spring into color.. nice and easy!

I like to keep things short and easy for my morning routine. For instance, I don't like to take more than 5 minutes in the morning for makeup. Do you all agree that 5 minutes is pretty doable? I hope so because it's really not a long time at all but in those five minutes you can truly make a beauty statement that's unique.

After you have washed and moisturized your face, follow these brief steps to achieve a lasting glow and make and impression.

Step 1-Dust on a mineral makeup that is your color and cover your entire face
Step 2-Use a mineral bronze to amp up existing coverage (don't over do it please)
Step 3-Use a dark brown liner to line the bottom of your eyes
Step-4-use a pinkish sparkle for your eye lid/add in a light to medium bronze in your crease
Step 5-Use a nice mascara to really pop your eyes out
Step 6-Add in pretty peach or light pink blush to the apples of your cheek
Step 7- Use a light pink or peach lip gloss to finish

These short but simple makeup tips will help you achieve a lasting glow that really stands out. Of course, I recommend coming into the studio for a complete consultation with our professional recommendations but if you have some items at home that will help you achieve this look, do your thing!
